Overview

You'll receive notifications for all subscribed repositories into your Inbox.

Control notifications received in your Inbox by customizing your repositories subscriptions.

Issues / Pull Requests

You'll receive a notification when a new issue or pull request is opened if you've selected the New issues or New pull requests repository subscription as part of the preset.

If you've selected New activities as part of the and presets, you'll receive notifications for all subscribed issues and pull requests when someone:

  • closed an issue / pull request
  • reopened an issue / pull request
  • mentioned you on an issue / pull request
  • assigned you on an issue / pull request
  • requested a review from you on a pull request
  • subscribed you to an issue / pull request
  • marked as ready for review pull request
  • moved an issue / pull request in the board
  • locked an issue / pull request
  • unlocked an issue / pull request
  • archived an issue / pull request
  • unarchived an issue / pull request
  • transferred an issue
  • merged a pull request
  • encountered failed CI on a pull request
  • commented on an issue / pull request
  • mentioned you in a comment
  • approved changes on a pull request
  • requested changes on a pull request
  • reviewed a pull request
  • mentioned you in review on a pull request

You're automatically subscribed to issues or pull requests when you create them, are assigned on, requested as a reviewer or are @mentioned in a description, comment or review. You can subscribe or unsubscribe from issues manually by using the buttons in the Activity section or even subscribe other maintainers by using the menu in the same section.

When importing a repository for the first time, you will be automatically subscribed to issues and pull requests following the rules above.

Releases

You'll receive a notification when a new release is published if you've selected the New releases repository subscription as part of the and presets.

Repositories

You'll receive a notification when a new repository you're a maintainer of has been imported.

You'll receive a notification when a GitHub action fails on a repository's default branch if you've selected the New actions repository subscription as part of the preset.

Desktop notifications

You can choose to receive desktop notifications by going to Settings -> Preferences -> Notifications. Settings are accessible through the user menu or by pressing ,. Desktop notifications work on macOS or Windows applications and when using most browsers. This setting is not stored into your account so you can for example disable desktop notifications on volta.net but keep them enabled on your desktop application.
